Virginia Tech is growing its research portfolio in several energy-related business sectors.  Historically our core expertise has been in innovative technologies for fossil fuels, sustainable infrastructure, and energy efficiency.  In recent years Virginia Tech has made significant advances in the renewable energy research, development of intelligent power distribution systems, and technologies associated with the hydrogen infrastructure.  This presentation will overview research areas of strength at Virginia Tech and provide examples of how the university is working locally, regionally, and nationally to promote the deveolpment of new energy solutions.
