Virginia was recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as being among the top three states in the country for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Lack of skilled workers for tech jobs affects local companies
Finding skilled technology workers with enough experience is becoming more difficult. Promoting high tech jobs in the region may be part of the solution to this problem. The Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council has had 341 unique jobs posted by 63 companies in the last year and more than 1,500 people posting their resumes.
